The world's most dangerous hike - Mt. Huashan travel vlog (China)
The world's most dangerous hike? In this China travel vlog I explore the peaks of the famous Mt. Huashan, and try to find the legendary "plank walk," a wooden plank walk on the side of a mountain over 7,000 feet high. Mt. Huashan is beautiful and the plank walk is an incredible experience... if you can get in. Additional information
about Mt. Huashan for anyone who wants to visit or try the plank walk. In order
to get there from Xi'an, you can take a bus from Xi'an to the Huashan tourist
center (you can also take the fast train to a nearby city and take the local
bus to the tourist center). At the tourist center, you can either start your
walk up Mount Huashan (this will take a long time), or take a bus to one of the
two cable cars, one for the north peak and one for the west peak. Either way
you go, you will have enough time to walk to all the peaks. If your goal is the
Huashan plank walk, keep in mind that the west peak is much closer (the plank
walk is located on the south peak). BUT, because of this, and also because
starting west and heading north is easier, it seems that the lines for the
cable cars are much longer. Another thing to keep in mind is that solo
travelers are no longer allowed on the Huashan Plank Walk. So bring a friend,
or find one on the mountain (hopefully you can find as good a friend as Kevin).
Hope you guys enjoyed the video.
