While I was in France, I took a little weekend away from Paris to visit a friend in Lille. Most Americans I know had never heard of this historic city on the border of Belgium. Since it's only just over an hour's train ride from Paris, everyone wanted to know if it would be a good day trip to plan while taking their vacations in Paris.
